Dr. Meghan Faulkner MS, DC, DACBSP
Driven by a lifelong passion for athletic performance and human movement, I bring a dynamic blend of personal competitive experience and advanced clinical training to my role as a Sports Medicine Chiropractor. My background includes over a decade of involvement in athletics, from competing in the American Quarter Horse Association and high school track and field to participating in collegiate and national dance competitions. I have also coached at the collegiate level, completed a half marathon, and earned recognition in CrossFit and Olympic weightlifting—most notably, earning the title of Texas State Champion in 2022 and setting a state record in the snatch.
I hold a Bachelor of Science in Exercise and Sport Science from North Georgia College and State University (2009), as well as a second Bachelor of Science in Biology, a Master’s in Exercise and Sport Science, and a Doctorate of Chiropractic Medicine from the University of Western States. I am board-certified by the National Board of Chiropractic Examiners and hold a post-doctoral designation as a Diplomate of the American Chiropractic Board of Sports Practitioners (DACBSP), where I currently serve on the Board of Directors.
My clinical approach is rooted in patient-centered care and functional rehabilitation, and I specialize in evidence-based chiropractic techniques designed to optimize movement, reduce pain, and enhance performance. I am a full-body certified Active Release Technique (ART) provider and trained in a wide range of treatment methods, including:
- Diversified Chiropractic Technique
- Selective Functional Movement Assessment (SFMA)
- Functional Movement Screening (FMS)
- Kinesiology Taping
- Instrument-Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization (IASTM)
- FAKTR
- Activator Method
- Applied Kinesiology
My professional experience includes working in multidisciplinary physical therapy and sports performance settings, as well as completing a strength and conditioning internship with the University of Texas Football Program. I have treated athletes across a broad spectrum of sports, including football, basketball, tennis, volleyball, soccer, rugby, CrossFit, rodeo, dance, and endurance running.
